When and where do you shoot?

  • Weekdays starting as early as 9am.

  • Saturday and Sunday appointments are hard to come by - my hair and makeup artists tend to be booked for weddings on the weekends so it is possible but it’s rare.

  • I shoot in a studio near I-35 and 5th St. in Austin and on-location.

How long do photoshoots last?

  • Hair and makeup is between 1-2 hours. Photoshoots are typically 2 hours. I’ve found that this is plenty of time to bring out your character and to get the best shots of you! Choosing images can take up to 1 hour. It’s totally dependent on how decisive you are, but don’t worry, I’m here to help. Plan on your total time with me to clock in at around 4-5 hours with hair & makeup, 2-3 hours without hair & makeup.

  • *Headshot Day can be completed in as little as 45 minutes total. Click here for those details.

Do you offer hair and makeup?

  • I can book a hair & makeup artist for you. You will pay the artist directly at the time of service. My artists charge anywhere between $175 - $250.

What should I wear?

  • We’ll go over that during your consultation and plan outfits for how you want to be photographed. We can even set a time to chat in person. Coffee date!

Do I need to know how to pose?

  • No way! I’ll guide you through your entire session choosing poses that are natural and flattering to you. It’s not your job to be photogenic, it’s my job to light, pose, and photograph you in the best way possible.

What if I want to wait until I lose weight?

  • I will make you look your best with posing and lighting. I’m a professional photographer, this is what I’ve been educated and trained to do. I got you! Besides, your children, your family, your friends, they all love you and they absolutely do not care about how much you weigh. No one has ever said to me, “Now, that I’m perfect, let’s have a photoshoot.” Do this because you are worth it and it’s important.

Can we get weird with it?

  • Heck yeah! I love creative concepts! Do you want funny or quirky? I got you! Do you want dark or creepy? Oh my goth, yes! Do you want your photo to look like an album cover? Let’s do it!

Do you edit the images?

  • Yes, I go over every image and they each receive high-end retouching that is aimed to bring out your best, not to change your face.

Do you sell digital images?

  • Yes, each purchased image comes with a print and a digital copy. Digital images are great for the digital age in which we live but they just don’t compare to the depth and richness of a print. Your images will be printed on archival paper that will last for 100 years. These prints will be passed down to friends and family for many years to come. This includes headshots! Printmaking is an art form itself and I work closely with the lab to ensure all the colors, tones, shadows, and highlights print the way we intend them. I know you’re going to be so excited to share your images on social media and that’s why I include digital copies of all the images you choose for print.

Is there a minimum print order?

  • NEVER! I don’t believe in high pressure sales. It’s really gross. I make it simple, you only buy what you want! I offer Folio Boxes and Wall Art. You can choose one or the other or a combination of the two. It’s your world!

Can I buy a gift certificate/voucher for a friend?

  • Absolutely! Gift vouchers can be bought through my Squareup account by clicking here.

What else should I know?

  • I’ve spent an incredible amount of time studying photography so that I can offer you an incredible piece of art. There are certain types of photography that I do not offer. It’s simply not my specialty, and those are: engagement, wedding, and newborn.
